idk we had this thing where grades 1 - 9 existed between 2 buildings on same "lot" and the yard was shared in between
and after 6th grade you changed buildings to be with 7-9 graders
didn't really have older friends but i had plenty older enemies being nosy annoyance :lol:
so like technically id understand kid making friends with teen at school cause that would have been theoretically possible on school yard but it was highly unlikely ofc given the "we are so grown up and don't hang out with kids" thing
