#AD I was invited to join the CFE (Not Final Build build) and Early Access (Final Build) opportunities for Horse Ranch. Thank you to the EA Creator Network for this chance to show you ALL THE THING...

I remember chickens roaming quite far, and I didn't like that. Also, I read somewhere that sheeps/goats can use the horse bed. Is that true? Can you assign a horse bed to your sheeps/goats?
One last question that might make no sense (but it would help me create a horse randomizer): how many horse color are there in CAS? I know about the color wheel, but I'm talking about the pre-made 'style' of coats.
Thanks in advance for answering. I might probably ask more questions as they pop up in my mind ?
Edit: okay, here's another one: is there a way to make your horse stay still in some place after you dismount them? Like, if I go to the small pond to take a swim, can I make my horse stay there waiting, or they just walk away autonomously?
Minis roam, but they don't seem to go as far as chickens. They can be gathered or collected to inventory (singly or collectively via sim-picker) via an interaction on any mini. They can also all be called to eat via feeders, but this usually works better if you gather them first. Placing them back in the world from inventory is a bit more tedious as it has to be done one at a time. Adding to inventory, then placing again is a sneaky way to wake a mini you need to interact with.
Minis will use a horse bed. I found they were more likely to sleep on the one assigned to my horse than the unassigned one, until I had enough to crowd the place. They like to sleep with company, it seems. You can't directly assign the horse beds to minis, just horses.
There are 35 breeds, each with a single swatch. The swatch is broken down into up to 5 layers (base colour, highlight etc) which you can change up for the same coat(?) in different colours, like cats/dogs/werewolves. You can also paint patterns or details manually on top of that.
Horses will wander off to fill needs, socialise or to do things associated with their traits. One foal had the zoomies a lot because she was Energetic. Another horse was always wandering off for attention. If you keep their needs high, they should be less likely to wander, but there's no way to tether them to one spot unless you gate them in. I haven't maxed all skills yet though, so there might a "Stay" command at high Horse Riding/Temperament skill or something.
