Occult TOTOs - No occult preferences.
Curved Pools on 2nd+ Floor - I hadn't tested this so had to go screenshot (and watermark) a relevant picture. It looks like there's a visible glitch on the floor below if you place curved pools above the initial/ground floor.
ETA: If anyone spotted the changing watermarks, that's just confusion on my part about which ones to use. Apparently just "Ad" because I'm in the UK, but it used to be more specific based on opportunity type.
Do round pools work (unlike round rooms)?
They work fine.
You sit on and can swim in the round corners fine.
You can decorate them with wallpaper, flooring and trim.
You can also place ladders (and likely other edge-snap objects) on the curves.
Does that answer your question? I'm not sure what you mean by "work" otherwise.
