- I vote quality, as I have played a game before that was enormous- beautiful graphics and all- but the amount of bugs made me leave it for good. I'm not saying I do that often, in fact, it takes a lot for me to say that of something.
- ChadSims2Seasoned NoviceI vote quality but we get neither quality nor quantity with Sims 4
- SkipInklingRising SpectatorIn the past I have waited for years to get a good quality game. Though I would say, if your company has billions of dollars, both quality and quantity should be possible if you make that a priority.
- luciusstormSeasoned VeteranSeriously? You can have a diamond or a ten foot high pile of cow manure. Unless you're farming, the choice is pretty obvious (actually it's obvious if you're farming too... it's just a different metric of quality. )

In general, though, not necessarily Sims: would you rather have new DLCs, or bug fixes? Stuff like that. It could be for, I dunno... a superhero game- anything you might play.
I want solid game play first. Especially in a sandbox game where I can do many different things to make the game fun already. Expansions are nice, but more often than not they throw a curve ball into my playstyle by adding annoying sim behavior along with a new batch of bugs. "SamDenny;c-18158936" wrote:

Well, I donno, people are ok with spending 700+ on a game that is apparently neither of those things. Maybe I'm missing something.
I'm not. :p- ThriorTheSecondSeasoned NewcomerAlways quality. I play a variety of games and got really tired of this trend in which they just bloat them with countless hours of meaningless busywork like collectibles and fetch quests, then try to market it with stuff like "Our game has the biggest open world ever!" Yeah? Who the heck cares if there's nothing interesting for you to do? I'd rather they cut their map in half and actually put effort into actual gameplay.
Witcher 3 is one of those rare gems that is able to do both. Tons of content, huge game world, but that content is actually good and heavily story driven so a lot of effort was required. Actual writing, animating, and voice acting instead of just them having huge dead maps with quests like "collect 35 random artifacts". - Quality. been missing that in ts4
although quality doesn't matter if i never liked the thing in first place I wouldn't use a thing just because its good quality
and its easier to hit specific wants of people with quantity cause millions of people are unlikely to want that one specific thing you want
therefore these 2 have to match in order to make game that lot of people can have fun with
in short i don't think these 2 values are matching up in ts4 at the moment they've just tipped too far into the quantity as of late without minding the quality and its time to start putting beans in the quality bin - I seriously would rather have the world from The Sims on Wii completed with new challenges over what TS4 has now. And no, not collectible, money-making, or other scenario challenges. I mean ones like a castaway, sudden major theft, dealing with vampirism w/no help- relying on what you drain from, those kinds of challenges. Can a werewolf actually stay human enough to live in a normal society?
