Question about "bring out cake"
Is it correct the Sims must have a meal at a restaurant before ordering a cake? I just tried to order a cake after just requesting a table and it did not work. I have ordered many cakes after meals......

You don't need to order a meal to be able to get a cake. I've done it multiple times without ordering a meal. Sometimes I have them order after the cake and sometimes I just have them leave the restaurant after the birthday.
