No, you enter that while on the lot. The coding is just to keep the sages in their chosen rooms/areas, if you edit it too much it will just cause them to wander around more.

There are three distinctive looking cauldrons. Morgyn's is the one in the grassy area. Simeon's is the one on the main floor. L.Faba's is the one in the basement.
Actually I haven't changed mine except to add some things from build and buy, but the Sages still walk around quite a bit. They will eventually go back to their own area to check on things, but they don't stay there.
