question about that fancy $1200 trashcan that pays you

So you know that super boujee trashcan that gives your household money if you throw things away in it? I was just wondering how the amount of money is determined. At first I thought it was my sims' moodlets, like a positive (such as happy) means more money, but I realized that my sad sims and happy sims got the same amount for throwing stuff away. I think it might be lot value, because in the beginning the amount started out relatively small ($10) and now that they have a bigger house, it's about $50. This is all when I throw it away for them, btw. I know that if sims throw stuff away in the fancy trashcan themselves it's a different amount of money.

So does anyone know how the amount you receive is determined, what factor(s) it's based off of?
