Question for those who play with aging off??

How do you do it? I'm one of those simmers who constantly is creating new sims and like to start new families/generations.

  • I’m way too attached to all of my Sims! It doesn’t get boring though as you can have affairs, drama, children, best friends, sense of community etc!
  • For ts4, I've just played a gay male couple. Interactions with other sims in the game is an annoyance and I haven't seen any benefit besides fulfilling some of the skill requirements. I'm an introvert playing introverts so it's kind of nice when everybody dies off and I'm left with a neighborhood of ghosts who will all eventually fade off into oblivion.

Fortunately, even with a couple hundred hours of gameplay I still have never encountered a ghost coming to visit my sims (or any ghost period). So once they die that's just one less person banging on my sims' door and, thankfully, the game hasn't really generated anybody new to take their places.

  • Im using custom aging settings that I created myself. I left pets and babies alone, since their lives are short and I dont want to play with them for long.

But I gave toddlers, kids/teens YoungAdults ,Adults and Elders much longer lives. Similar to long life span, but to MY personal liking. Because I dont want elders living super long either. It's just right for me.

For the first time I am going to nail legacy style play!
  • I play the sims4 to relax, where I do not want to worry about aging and other stuff, I like to customize my sims a lot in CAS and I do not want for them to grow old and die. When I am finished with a challenge from other saves I often save those sims and then add them to the save with aging turned off so they can live there and be happy.
