Questions about HSY pack for those who have it

Hi there, I can have a go at some answers:

1) Not sure about glitches, I haven't come across any particular ones related to this pack. I have noticed sims looking at their phones a little more often now, but not so much that I feel the need to mod it out.
2) I have only had the game mention one crush so far, and it was actually my played teen sim who apparently got a crush on the principles daughter during an active school day. Nothing happened with it.
3) It hasn't particularly done anything great for my teens, other than new clothes and buy mode stuff.

I would mention that I haven't yet been to a prom or after school activity. I did attend a couple of career days, which were pretty boring. Attending active school days (I find) is pretty boring. Going to the fair is pretty boring. I do like the photo booth, but it is disappointing because kids can't use it, ditto with the pillow fights.

I'm not one of the people who ever wanted an active high school. I am happy with the pack just for the 'stuff' to be honest, which is the reason I decided to buy the pack on the cheap after it had been out a while.

I never needed active schools either, and still dont.

Playing with default school is boring to me too, but I build my own, with tons of skill activities from other packs, I love that other kids use most of those too by themselves.

My teens have had many crushes, but not yet to bother me.
Prom and graduation DO work for me, with and without mods.. I know that's not case with all. (Then again I have been very lucky of not having nearly as much bugs as some others)

There is/was some bug related to exams at fridays, but Im not going to school with my teens at fridays because of it.

Im not so interested about the world, rarely use it. If the pier would be more crowded, then I would use it more..

The crush thing has been very very VERY annoying to me. I did not know it was a bug. I thought the gamemakers had chosen to override my settings to force less traditional values upon us. I am less annoyed to know it is a bug than what I thought was happening. The crushes were so constant and so extreme that I took a break from playing teens and started playing as a child to test the boundaries of what children could do in the game.

I would not give up my highschool pack for anything, though. I use parts of every pack and often do not know what features are from which pack. I just recently learned that the metal music station is from the knitting pack!

When something annoys me, I just go do something else for awhile and then wait and see what happens. There is so much to explore in this game and when something goes "wrong", it pushed me to do things that I never would have tried.

Glitches are minimum there is still the graduation and prom glitch but those don't always occur. I think it enhances teen gameplay and love the proms. Also the ferris wheel alone is worth buying this pack for even though it's a rabbithole.

I can't answer the first two since I haven't really played in a while.
The third, I felt it added to the teen life-stage. The school and its game play felt underwhelming, yet the bobba-tea shop, social bunny app, the trendi store and computer streaming set-up gave a little more life to teens.

I had to some work to really enjoy this pack.
There is a mod that allowed me to choose what sims showed up as students at the school. I forgot how I did it, but I was able to choose the teachers too. And I edited the principle.

I built replaced the school because the given one is very bland and boring.
Prom feels too short and dates at the board walk are a bit meh. I've only did it twice and really don't feel the need to go there other than to see how nice it looks. They could have at least added a little arcade with the love machine, claw game, to fish for prizes, and other games, like the sims 3 had.

To be fair, a lot of these bugs are either mod related or occur very rarely. I'd say the pack runs rather well compared in comparision with others.

1.Compared to when it first came out to what was fixed things are more than manageable. Only glitch I remember being rather evident is if your sim teen happened to get expelled and you re-enroll them, the game doesn't reset their strike system and expells them again.

Not sure if it's fixed or not as I haven't had one expelled again lately.

2. Don't think the crush one is a problem my teens have never had more than two crushes and you can get over your crush in the event you don't want that sim to crush on that sim when you click on your sim to 'try to get over crush..' option. Mod wise you can use UI mod and just right click to remove the sentiment with ease.

3. A big amount of gameplay does revolve around active school for teens for sure, but my teens have felt more like teens than just adults going to high school. Different behaviors between them, how they greet one another, sneaking out when opportunity to do so pop ups, afterschool activities...feel like my teen gets a lot more invited as of late to hang out and such. Parenthood kinda enhances things with the mood swings inbetween. I like that there were extra, relevant jobs for teens to have compared to base game.

There's some extra mods to enhance more of the gameplay (someone had made a mod to revolve around a popular system and certain groups teens can be a part of.)

I recently purchased the pack on the sale, so I don't have a lot of playtime with it yet, but one thing I immediately noticed after installing this pack is that it does an excellent job of streamlining a lot of the teen gameplay and experiences. Similar to how Realm of Magic has the magic realm, a location that provides spellcasters with everything they need to do what spellcasters do either solo or amongst one another, High School Years does for teens. Playing with teens is a lot more effortless than before, and that's not to mention all the other details and additions teens recieved in the pack. I've also noticed myself using the new Social Bunny feature to manage my sims' relationships, to keep in touch with others, and to build relationships overtime without ever needing to have face to face interaction. Perfect for loner sims in my opinion.

I like a lot of the CAS for teens, and there are some really cute bedroom sets. I don’t like the way the thrift store is so limited, and the same with Trendi, I don’t think that was thought out well. But, I think the Boba tea was a cute idea, and the part time jobs. I haven’t played the school since Growing together came out, but I was having no problems with school when I was playing teen families. The Prom was great. School went fine. I’m glad we can change the school lot around, and the prom lot. I personally don’t like that the fair is all rabbit hole, and, that others sims don’t show up there, but, it’s something for sims to do and a sim can invite friends or family there.
