1. Don't know where you get it on discount. I think one of the bigger stores (Wallmart?) offered a discount on release, but I'm not updated on this. Check simsvip, they often post when a recent pack is on sale.
2. No, I don't think EA ever give discount on a new realease. There was a EA sale recently, but Seasons was not affected. With some luck you get 20% there in a couple months, or on Black Monday.
