Questions I hope the Life and Death EP Trailer answers

If we already have a Grim that we've taken out of the game to make a playable character, will this pack affect that existing Grim?

Will this pack affect any relationships that a pre-existing Grim in game already has? (my Grim is not about to divorce his wife and give up his 90+ kids)

Will this pack actually allow us to play the Grim Reaper as a fully functional character? (woohoo, dates, romance, wedding, babies, etc)?

Add your own questions. 🙂

I mean they could go all Walking Dead and, since it's The Sims, there would be a cure for zombies as well. In fact it would be kind of fun if you could be a scientist or doctor working on said cure to save the world.

I'm very curious about what the new world will be like - mostly, if it's going to be some sort of underworld or at least something darker like we got with Forgotten Hollow.

Also, I'm curious if we get a new career, new traits and new skills, or rather, which ones.

Will we be getting any new careers? If we get zombies will we get a toggle to turn them off. Never liked them in sims 3. I never new about the ones in sims 2

Sims 2 zombies were weird because they didn't do a whole lot beyond being just worse than regular sims. Then Sims 3 did the very stupid cross-promotion with Plants vs. Zombies that ... if people wanted to play Plants vs. Zombies they would.

The reason I want zombies (or Frankensteins) is that I'm working on a big save file with lots of TV show and movie characters and I want to put both the Addams Family and the Munsters in. The Addamses have a questionably alive live-in butler, Lurch, and the patriarch of the Munster clan, Herman, is a Frankenstein (but a zombie could work).

People who aren't trying to do something like that might care about having new undead a lot less.

Personally i think this is going to be a pack about zombies more than anything . I hope not as i hate them but will buy the pack for the build/buy items and the new world

I really hated the zombies in Sims 3. They did finally make it so you could turn them off thankfully but until then they were a nightmare, especially if you had a garden! And the whole eating your plants thing was just dumb and I don't care why they did it. So let us hope they have learned their lesson  and you can have the world of the pack sans zombies if that is your desire. I'd probably even play with them from time to time were it optional and they weren't rabid vegetarians.

  • As an Occult lover... please no Zombies (I'm sorry, I find them boring) and no Faeries (I want them to have their own pack!) in this.
I do want to know about Graveyards, if there's a grim reaper career, and more options for ghosts... maybe as a playable occult from CAS?  Also if they're doing anything with Tarot/fortune telling in this.
I'd also love any cross pack integration, but they rarely show that in the trailers.
I rarely do anything with Grim other than sometimes I'll have my spellcasters with large families end up befriending him (when he comes around a lot...) so Grim either being playable or just how the pack impacts relationships with him I'm less interested in.

  • If we get zombies, can we turn them off in the option. Sorry to all those zombies but they are the one occult lifestate I have no interest in.

I would love so cross pack integration for werewolves, vampires and spellcasters.

Same. I do enjoy the occasional zombie movie, but I'll always take vampire over zombie movies. It will all hinge on what Sim zombies can actually do. If they're just a pain in the butt and wreak havoc or attack Sims, I'm pretty sure I won't want them. My scientist Sim might disagree, though... she's also a spellcaster, and she's taken her first steps in dabbling with the spiritual, so she might be very interested in zombies, too.

Cross pack integration would be cool :D

  • I wonder about the world that may come with this pack, what the LIFE portion will be, if it will add anything for babies; and about zombies and graveyards, too.

  • I just didn't realize it was possible to play Grimmie, much less have him marry AND have ANY children, but leave it to a Simmer to figure out if it is! 🤣

(Of course I remember Nervous Subject in the early games who was supposed to have Grimmie as a father, but to actually PLAY Grimmie? 🤣)

Nervous Subject,  I loved playing that family in the sims 2

  • Hope you get your answers. Unfortunately I do not think it is possible to play as Grim currently without cheats.

  • My big questions, not necessarily in the order I care about them:

    1. Will we get functional graveyards?
    2. Will we get fairies as the "Life" part of Life & Death?
    3. Will we get zombies? Will they hopefully not be obsessed with wrecking gardens in an ill-advised and not very fun cross-promotion? Frankensteins would also be acceptable for what I need them for.
    4. Ghost revamp?

I don't care much about playing as a reaper, but I like the idea of having sims become the Reaper. Like, I don't want to play at running around and killing sims, but when sims die, if they could be guided to their final reward by sim Taylor Swift or something that would be pretty funny. (I know this can be done with mods, but I haven't had any luck getting it to work.)
