I've searched the web and read guides to vampires in Sims 4, but I'm still not certain of one thing. If I have a sim who asks to be turned, will that sim still have his or her same appearance in the game? I know vampires have a "dark form" but does that appear only if/when they are feeding?

On that portrait there will be a small X in the upper right corner, just like the one used to completely delete a sim. Click on it to delete the dark form. Your vampire will then only have one form. If you ever want one back you can use the option to create it again.

If you go to Manage World and access CAS from the list of households you'll get the full options.

I was able to go back through Household Management to the vampire I created yesterday, and yes, I was able to give her a fully human appearance. I feel much more comfortable now in allowing a few of my sims to join this "strange new cult". Cool, becareful playing as a vampire can be addictive.

I believe they stay the same but get a bite mark on their neck, and I think their Dark Form is randomized?

You can always go to Create-a-Sim through a Mirror or Manage World's to change your Sim's appearance if it does have an unwanted effect.

They will keep their same appearances, but as already mentioned, the dark form will be completely random, only thing possible to change will be the outfit, accessories etc. If your sim's dark form looks like Nosferatu, then that's what you'll be stuck with. xD

Umm no, you are not stuck with whatever darkform the game assigned to you, you can use change appearance on mirror to change your dark form or even "mirrored" from your human form, so you look just the same on both form, if you want to be a vampire from buffyverse, twilight or nosferatu you are free to do so.

Wait, really? I've had the pack for almost a year, and the outfit on the Dark Form was initally randomized but I could immediately go into CAS and change everything including fangs, scars, occult skintones, etc...

In some cases you have to go back to Manage World to be able to fully edit the vampire form's facial features.

You're accessing CAS through the mirror or dresser. If you go to Manage World and access CAS from the list of households you'll get the full options.
