I think by working from home they mean sims get a day off with some tasks they have to complete.
Eat 4 dishes is actually easy, order food, eat it, order food, eat it, order food, eat it, order food, eat it. It can be done in the single day.
If you don't complete both tasks but complete one, you will get half the salary and it won't affect their work performance. If they fail to do both of the tasks, the work performance will fall and you won't get paid. Tasks expire when your sim's next work day starts, so you can do the tasks in the midnight or early morning.
