Holy Sanctuary is a multi-generational challenge for one household. The sims live confined to a lot that was never meant to be a residential one: a church or other holy site. Venturing out is dangerous. Originally written for Sims 3, but very easy to adapt, rules here:

BACC is short for
Build a city challenge and there are various rulesets for that one. It's multi-generational, multi-household.

I use my own simplified ruleset that basically restricts me from everything I tend to abuse in normal gameplay and that can be completed in two or three generations with just the starting households. Rules here:
