- elliebreton7 years agoLegendCan you edit that part in build mode? If not, then I think the decorations box will not work for them. The lights probably appeared as part of the communal decorations for that apartment block, just like they appear on neighbours houses.
- moppy14w7 years agoSeasoned AceThat’s helpful to know, but potentially annoying. Thanks @elanorbreton. I will investigate.
UPDATE: You’re right @elanorbreton. That is the very limit of the apartment so there is only so much access. It’s worth noting that when you buy a decorations box it won’t let you choose decorations at all, it simply blanks out with “Not Allowed in Apartments.” :/
At least the silly box more than paid for itself via Rummage for Decorations. >:)
Anyone know of a workaround? - That happened to me too when I was living in an apartment. You have to create a new holiday on the calendar for the next day and set the decoration theme to "none". Then the decorations will go away. There's also a bug report about it here: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/OPEN-CL-S-Unable-to-remove-holiday-decorations/td-p/6909543
