Random pointy ears?

My toddler Sim looks like he has pointy ears in gameplay. Yet, when he’s in CAS, he doesn’t. Neither of his parents have pointy ears. Is this some kind of weird bug? Obviously as far as game bugs go it’s very minor, but it is odd. He’s a Spellcaster toddler, but even so, given that neither of his parents nor his grandparents have pointy ears, I’m a little confused.

    He is clearly an elf changling. XD
    Jokes aside, that's an interesting bug that I've never encountered. If I had to guess, I would say that it is probably due to being a Spellcaster. But there's a big chance that I'm wrong about that.

    The other toddlers are his cousins, their mothers were twins. It's a fairly subtle point, and only really noticeable because of his hairstyle. I'm not bothered by it at all, just intrigued as to where it came from!
