Rant from a Fan - Should we reconsider buying Eco Lifestyle?

Hey guys, Huge fan of the Sims series here, playing since 2008. I wanted to start this discussion so I can get a few things off my chest. I am not trying to badmouth or sabotage the game in anyway...

All we've seen is the trailer, which is pretty and sets up the eco theme well, but doesn't exactly give away gameplay features. Once people realised pollution could affect the whole world they lightened up a lot. In the circumstances can you blame the Devs for saying that your life will be improved with an eco lifestyle?

While pollution obviously has a visual impact I can't help but feel like there will be much more than that to it.
