I always play with as big of a household I can get, and autonomy is your best friend in big households! (I mean, except for that one time Zachary went to repair a roomba without me telling him and he got electrocuted. It started a fire. He’s fine now.) Anyway, here’s some ideas!
• Try assigning roles to each sim, so one can do all the repair stuff, one does the cooking, one takes care of the kids, etc! It’ll take some skill building, but it’ll all be worth it!
• Take maybe one day a week in the game for your household to spend time together. This can be at home, or you can take them out camping or anything you think of!
• Always make sure there’s leftover food or an extra dish in the fridge. Since it’s a big household, depending on what their days are like it’s very unlikely they’ll all get hungry at the same time. Sometimes cooking just takes too long, so you’ll want a backup just in case you don’t feel like getting your sims to cook one day.
• Sometimes it’s good to take a moment to pause the game and check everyone’s needs. This way you can queue up some stuff for your sims to do and let them take control for a bit.
Of course there’s a lot more, but this is what I usually do. I hope this helps in some way!
