- neylajcSeasoned NewcomerI’m hoping we eventually get an option to decide which occults have bad blood. I don’t mind vamps vs werewolves but it is cliche and I want my game to have spellcasters vs wolves while vamps are a more chaotic neutral party that choose which individuals benefit them to ally with.
- annaliese39New SpectatorOh this makes me happy! I was worried my vampire-werewolf couple were destined to hate each other. I am relieved to see they can get along if we want them to.
- SEREFRASRising HotshotOh thank goodness, I can still play my mixed occult couples with the new Werewolves. :p B) <3
- I made this vampire/werewolf couple in CAS together and loaded them as husband and wife. They have no friendship as you can see but pretty high romance. It's only been a few minutes playing them, but so far no fights, and conducting friendly and romantic interactions has required no effort at all.
It's taking me awhile to post my experiments because I am simultaneously trying to tackle a mountain of housework and experiment when I take breaks.

Thank you for sharing this. Now I can feel excited again. - BabykittyjadeNew ObserverThanks for showing this. No nerf necesarry. This is ts4 I knew it wouldn't be that complicated ? it seems to already be a good balance for those who want a bit of conflict and those who don't.
- I think Greg is programmed to be hyper aggressive to other werewolves and vampires. So far I haven't had any trouble with interactions between them with my self made werewolves and I have yet to see any autonomous fighting between any vampires or werewolves. It may be trait dependent too as well as the traits and rewards you accumulate from the skill trees for each occult that will ultimately determine the difficulty in obtaining and maintaining inter-occult relations.
The Welcome Wagon Has Arrived:
Now my lovely vampire is surrounded by werewolf neighbors, and her werewolf husband, and while she has a red friendship bar with the werewolves, she has not autonomously attacked anyone nor they her. They're all just standing around shouting aroogaba at each other and sharing a fruitcake.

So it seems, maybe with the exception of Greg you can develop positive vampire and werewolf relationships. They may require a bit more work to maintain, time will tell on that score I guess, but in general it seems they overall don't just break out into autonomous bloody brawls.
Later that evening:
So, the welcome wagon had been here for awhile, I've decided to let the autonomy dictate what happens now, so far just this buff...Spoilerhttps://i.imgur.com/PVQhQOt.png
Goodby Welcome Wagon:
So, the welcome wagon ended on it's own. I let them interact autonomously without my interference and nothing happened other than my vampire was tense with the moodlet in the spoiler above, and got the option for a supernatural smackdown in the mean interactions:Spoilerhttps://i.imgur.com/eCHhZgj.png
and her relationship with her werewolf husband has improved, she's gone from a half full red friendship bar to the tiniest smidgeon of green in the friendship bar and their romance remains fairly strong.Spoilerhttps://i.imgur.com/cAaPL5V.png - You know, I am happy, actually, that this is not as dire as I feared. Thank you for proving this. I am curious - in the negativity thread, someone mentioned that if you use the ask for werewolf sympathy interaction on a vampire, it totally tanks their friendship, though. Can you confirm this?
- GlacierSnowGhostSeasoned HotshotThanks for testing stuff. Good to know it's not quite as bad as initially it sounded. I really do want the pack, so I'm definitely interested in ways to deal with this feature. And don't worry, I at least will never ask for it to be nerfed. I want other players to have fun with it if they are. It's just not my taste.
Unfortunately though, I have around 200 vampires spread out over several saves. Even if each save only has maybe 15 werewolves (premades and some random ones) that's still a lot more relationships than I feel like dealing with one by one just to make them not all hate each other.
I've been giving it some thought this evening, and I think that with mods I already have like LittleMsSam's "gender and more lot trait" which allows you to ban specific types of sims from specific lots, I can at least keep werewolves and vampires separated from each other while I figure something else out. UI cheats can also save time by just setting relationships as neutral when first meeting. But that can only be used for a controlled sim and another sim. Not on two uncontrolled npcs. The relationships and behavior of the vampires and werewolves I am not controlling has been my biggest concern with regards to this feature.
But... one idea that strikes me as potentially useful and which could even be used in a story related way, is to make a bunch of mixed vampire and werewolf clubs (with the GT club system) and set the club rules as "do be friendly" and "don't be mean" to members in their club (and also toward other similar vampire-werewolf clubs). This would help npc vampires and werewolves learn to get along with each other (potentially a bit faster than just letting them interact normally with random interactions) without me having to go around and babysit them all individually through the process.
Since it sounds like the relationship behaves like a normal sim relationship, just starting from a lower point, this should eventually fix the problem for me. Or at least would force somewhat civil behavior on public lots until they actually get along.
EDIT - If I remember right, dancing together also raises friendship levels rather quickly. So some of the clubs could be dancing clubs. Just for variety. - KittybassNew SpectatorI was able to befriend Vlad relatively quickly with my Were. He was a vendor at a food stall and she started talking to him and a few days later she got invited to a dance party and asked him along and they became friends. I'm not sure about the Vatores because I had my sim attack them first at the bar/hangout thing when I was playing around with werewolf abilities but as far as starting off on the right paw, er, foot, I didn't find it too difficult and in normal circumstances I find Vlad quite difficult to befriend.
