Hello, All. Not much is happening at the moment in my game. I have encountered, again, the no Host for the Starlight Accolades Show. Erik has the nomination, but when he arrives, there simply is no host. We got over this one quite some time ago, but like other things, it's baaack. Gr. I do have one or possibly two updates to write and post and then I will switch saves to follow up on Brianna's situation. In the meantime, my updates may be scant for a bit. Doing my best to hang-in there. It's all I can do to keep from screaming at the top of my lungs . . .. WHY ME?
I had that happen recently as well. No host. I thought it might have been related to the door, so I took the door away and put it back and then the host showed up, but it was too late. The host showed up and said congratulations to all the winners (and there had been none) and wished everyone a good night. I like the second microphone idea -- that would help as well when you win, and it is hard to get up there to accept it. 🙂
Huh, it never once occurred to me it could be the door. This is a building I found on the Gallery. Before the patch, I had at least four award ceremonies. When I had this problem ages ago, it turned out to be a mod I was loathe to let go. But I did. It was LilmsSam's 21-day seasons. (Seems it messed with the calendar.) Three weeks was great. I've since gotten used to just 14 days, although I began this new save (in preparation for the new forum site) with 7-day seasons. I will be switching back to 14-days soon. I had another small mod of hers, so on a whim, I removed it. Still no host. Which had I thought of it sooner, the mods in my folder were all there prior to the patch and I had no trouble whatsoever. Twice my Global Superstar, Rock Star's had one of his parents as the Host. That was cool.
