What happened to the "Eco Living" theme that the Laundry Day Stuff Pack was supposed to be about?

The official trailer for Sims 4: Laundry Day has been released... okay. So, what's up with it? Last I knew, the Sim community was asked to vote a few times for the main theme, the objects, etc... and ...

This has always been the way with the sims games unfortunately and they have said stuff packs now replace the store, so it can hardly be a shock.
