I like fantasy. I don't want the whole game to be about it, of course, but I do want to shake things up once in a while. When I didn't have the vampire pack and I saw the complaints about vampires being everywhere and draining blood from sims, I thought "Wow, we really need a toggle. I don't want all my games to be about that." I must have been lucky, though, because none of the fantasy features have been invasive, so far. That doesn't mean they are entirely avoidable, but they make for a few unexpected elements, or something weird I can add to my game when I want.
