I have no idea what the world could be based off of, so don't take my speculating as an absolute. But when I see the word swamp, I think of Louisiana, which is where New Orleans is. The city is also known for its supernatural side, particularly when it comes to witchcraft, so there's that.

Man I hope they don't go for the traditional swamp world. I want a world where it can actually snow, dangit.
