I know it's not (because I've been there) but it would be kinda fun if they put the portal in that hidden glade in Willow creek.
But changing a bit of the non-lot Willow creek to have the portal seems like something that could be patched in as part of the expansion pack. Or even as part of the pre-release general patch.
