I’ve never once made ambrosia either, and I really can’t be bothered/don’t want to ‘prepare’ for the coming event by getting skill levels of my current sims to the required level. If the event assumes you know all this background knowledge (many new players won’t), then I don’t think that’s fair.
FreddyFox1234, the event doesn't require prior knowledge or preparation. Everything you need to know will be presented in the event
As the weeks progress, you’ll continue to unlock the secrets of Ambrosia and eventually learn how to cook it!
