-sigh- I had the game break on me as I was completing this week. The researching ambroisa thing vanished on me. The only thing I could think of that might have affected it was traveling to another lot and coming back. Did a post on the bug forums as well.
...now I'm just sad. 😭
I would just download a death flower at this point, especially if you don't have time to deal.

I FOUND A WORKAROUND! One hour until the next week comes out and patch. :P
What I had to do was to create a totally new Sim household and have them move in. Then they could research ambrosia. Considering it's just one step, that's easy enough to do.
