But... how exactly are people supposed to complete this if they don't own the Paranormal pack? I assume if you don't then there is a substitute to the requirement for asking the spirits about ambrosia on a séance table...
How many quests and tasks are there? And does the Sim working with Grim need the paranormal investigator trait to use the séance table? I've had the Paranormal pack for years but never really played with it - seems like a good time to start 😀
There were not many tasks, trying to remember... ask 3 sims about ambrosia, buy some starter flowers, plant a lily and snapdragon (from the starter flower pack) etc - maybe about 12 or 15 little things. All quick things, nothing that needs much effort to do. You don't need to be a paranormal investigator, I just had my sim buy the séance table and there was an option to ask the spirits about ambrosia when clicking on the table.

You don't need the Paranormal Investigator trait to use the table and even kids can do it - I had Alexander Goth do that part. That trait unlocks the Freelance Career that came with Paranormal Stuff and is a free reward you can get from Guidry after maxing the skill or you can buy it from the Rewards Store earlier.
Good to know :) One of my Sims has that trait but never used it because she is too busy inventing fun stuff at the lab. About high time she did at least one séance.
Btw, I just read that a few tasks only show up if you have the corresponding pack, so for people who don't have the Paranormal pack, the séance won't show up but people will still be able to get enough points to earn rewards. I like the idea of more or less tailoring the event at least a little bit to the packs a player has installed. And for me, it's a good motivation to finally do more with the Paranormal stuff than just use CaS and build items.
