rebuilding Newcrest

Starting a new save which means the daunting task of putting lots in Newcrest. Are there any builders on the gallery out there who has made Newcrest "collection" so to speak so I can just place down lots quickly and not endless searching?

    I have an alternative suggestion:

Go into your last save and save the builds you have in Newcrest to your library, then go into a new save than put them back in. The make a backup copy of that save so you always have one 'unplayed but built as I like it' copy of the game.

I actually still need to do this myself. Though I do keep 'messing with the things' I have laid out so any backup would get out of date quickly...

  • i was supposed to make one this year but i keep making everything but newcrest

(first i escaped to forgotten hollow recreation and now im getting stuck in oasis  i don't think newcrest is coming this year)
  • Definitely recommend creating a starting off save with everything prebuilt, I'm doing that at the moment.

Any particular style you're looking for? I'm almost finished my rebuild, in a very ultra modern style. I know others in different styles too, the easiest thing may just to be to search each lot name as a hashtag on the gallery and pick your favourite.
  • I have remade most of my worlds with using only my Sims 4 Packs. I can't use mods or cc's. I only know how to save my lots in the Gallery. So, my question is how do you save a whole world that you changed into the Gallery without any mods or cc's?

You can't. You just save the save file somewhere on your computer to use in future, or upload it to a cloud site.
  • That's what I do. I make sure it's saved on my PC. At least I still can save my different timeline lots & sims on the Gallery.

Look for the #BuildNewcrest hashtag on the Gallery.

I am also working on a personal "base save" where I place my favourite starting builds for each world, give premades seasonal outfits, degrees, lifestyles, fixed relationships etc and add certain items into the open street with T.O.O.L (voting boards, basketball hoops etc).

It's worth making one for yourself, and updating it with new packs and new favourite builds over time. It saves a lot of setting up. Once it's made you can even make variants of it like empty lots, (but keep the added world objects), no premades, own premades etc.

Keep each save file in a named folder and put those together in a safe folder that you have backed up somehow. Copy into newly generated Sims Saves folder when starting a new game.

I tend to keep the whole Sims 4 folder to separate screenshots and saves, and cut/paste over Tray files each time so I have access to my Library from all saves. If you have a lot of mods/cc this would use a lot of disk space unless you use a mod manager and add and remove them from each folder as necessary.
