I was picking up a plate when my sims stalker mom called again! And that froze my movements… I couldn’t put the plate down or answer nor reject the call… I lost game play because I had to exit the game and start over… who’s bright idea was it to put a phone in the sims?? They already have stalker neighbors coming over whenever they want! Wtf would I want ppl constantly calling and texting. “Hey I heard you became good friends with a fish”…. Tf?? I did the only logical thing and offed my sim. I’m not buying anything else from them until I figure out how to get rid of this phone crap.

I've seen a button on the Sim's phone to mute calls (or something like that), I've never activated it. It's right next to the feature to choose a color for their phones. It won't disable phone use, but I assume it will reduce the interruptions.
