The skin issue is more that half of them aren't great to begin with/look weird and the other half make your sims all look the same. I would reaaaally love for a color wheel though, to allow for different complexions mostly. The darker skin tones also look washed out and the off colors like green or purple are like...BRIGHT green or purple. They don't look very good on an orc or an alien.
More than anything most people just stick to about 4 different specific colors and dont use the rest, which is an issue in itself because that means people don't identify with the other colors because frankly they look uncanny.
Like for example the extreme white yellow skin tone - who uses that? Homer Simpson?
