Relationship cheat isn't working? Is there a work around for it?

So I know they updated it with the cheat modifyrelationship John Doe Jane Doe 50 LTR_Friendship_Main In my case it would be modifyrelationship Bonnie Parker Michael De Santa 50 LTR_Friendship_Main ...

If you still not getting it to work try letting them cloudgaze together for a while - relationship will reach friend status without any effort. Don't queue up any other actions for them until the friendship is where you want it to be.
