Remembering the good old days....
I often find myself filled with anger when it comes to the sims 4, especially when i see people so quick to defend it. do they not know about the past? though i remember lots of feelings about past...

I could counteract a lot of what you said with experiences which are and were just as bad in the past. I am well aware it goes both ways and I don't like the "bye, bye" statements any more than you do. Well actually that is probably not completely true depending on the whole context of how it comes about. I do even call people who do that sort of thing out of blue from time to time. That you brought up things like calling the game childish.. I have seen. Although it's not usually thrown out constructively in my opinion. It's often surrounded though by inflammatory words or comments about others. That provokes a reaction and depending how it's worded it can even provoke a reaction in me.
What the OP is indicating here to me is anger and frustration at both the game and the "defenders" by their statement: "I often find myself filled with anger when it comes to the sims 4, especially when i see people so quick to defend it. do they not know about the past?"
You can't convince me otherwise. Especially after they use words like "worship" of the game to make other points later. I feel no animosity for them they are frustrated.
I actually don't feel singled out if you think I do. Again I am just here giving my opinions. If I hold up a mirror while doing that it's usually because the words chosen have provoked that.
