Still, the NPCs like the Butler, can't be controlled. Hence, my concerns. I will take Erik through, even if Joey can't be controlled. I don't intend to play this new save all the way. I'm just wanting to explore HSY with Erik. I've figured out a way to marry this to the ongoing save.
Oh I didn't think you were spreading speculative thoughts. I have been thinking the same thing myself. I have a household with 2 teens and I play rotationally. So, I am already very concerned about how the gameplay is going to work. I agree with you and I think your concerns are valid.
