I think it’s cute to give a residence key to the kids of a house they grew up in, once they become adults and move out. Then they can visit and just let themselves in, because they’re always showing up to visit anyway. They even show up when their parents are on vacation to the rental home, which is unrealistic but I love it because they all end up spending more quality time together.
