I haven't honestly. I don't really find the trait to do anything worthwhile. When I do university I know I'm basically stuck with them until they graduate. I know there are cheats and mods for that (I don't play it often enough to be bothered getting them) but I send several through at a time and more or less triple speed the ordeal. In other words, I have to really want to do university for the storyline. My sims fail more often if I'm not managing university. That's just my limited experience. I usually focus on empathy and manners for traits as they do have more functionality for me when they age up
I really wish that sims were autonomously able to do university. I enrolled one of my sims for a term, switched playing to another household, and when I went back to the play with the original sim, I found out that he was on academic probation because he apparently did nothing regarding his studies when I wasn't controlling him! Luckily, I eventually got him to graduate with good enough grades, but that really threw me off track with his university storyline for a while and until I wanted to commit to playing with him that long.
