Restaurant question

I doubt you can order food from the coffee tables. I think you may have to change the whole seating arrangement.

Try it out yourself and see how it goes.
I think, since they are couches, that your sims will be able to sit on them, which means if they place their food on the tables they may be able to sit and eat there.
Take what I say for granted, this is just a guess :)

Even the proper tables sometimes don’t work. I know you can use other chairs and they work. Not sure about tables. Every restaurant is touch and go, they all need some adjusting.

Only tables and chairs count as dining spots for restaurants. As well as the counter height table and bar stools and the booths from the dine out pack. Essentially, all seating that is attached to a table.
All other seating, eg, regular bars, sofas, armchairs, do not count as a dining spot and will not be used as such.

I gotta say this is why I really dislike downloading places that don't say playtested. Looks great... but if it's not useable and you have to gut it to use it... why? It's frustrating.

It may be that the builder did not intend this area to be a dining area, but just a place where sims could sit and relax and "study the menu". On the very far left of the picture I can see a bench that would work for dining, if it has a table attached. If there are enough tables and seats for dining in the rest of the restaurant, you may not need to replace the seats in the picture, unless you particularly want to.

If that is true, then there were only two tables in the whole restaurant that would be suitable for eating. I remodeled the restaurant myself and now it works :smile:

There was an outside patio with tables. I was only referring to the indoor tables
