I'm circling back to this thread just to let @mightysprite know that customers do indeed buy things that are in the Lice Cold Retail Freezer. I got my potion/herbalism shop set up and discovered that all of the herbalism concoctions cannot be set on shelves/displays. They can go into refrigerators though.
I put down a LICE Cold Retail Freezer and put them all inside that. You get a message telling you what customers buy when you are running a retail lot and I'm getting messages regarding sold herbalism elixirs pretty regularly.
