What kind of stores do you build in your game? I had a pretty decent bakery once, owned by Angela Pleasant after she graduated Uni, but I want to try to build some new stores. I miss all my toy, flower, pet and robot stores from Sims 2. What stores do you have in your game? Do you have any tips?
Awesome! I need to think differently re retail stores. I hardly run any of them due to my busy rotation, but even so my many households could benefit from buying already upgraded items. And there are probably lots of other products the community could benefit from this way. So far they can only but the Nectar without needing to produce it themselves :)
If you start to actually actively run a retail business and get annoyed at just how much of a pain in the >:) >:) >:) the hired help is, if you are willing to use mods, there's a mod I have found which helps with that immensely. It is available here.
It is a modular mod and I'm just using the module which let you assign 2 instead of just 1 assigned task to the help. That alone is a game-changer in that it makes the staff at least not-useless.
Also, wanted to share the pictures of my witch/herbal store which is finally completely up and running and stocked. It sells all potions and herbalist concoctions, as well as the serums from the scientist career and a collection of crystals, insects, and other ingredients, plus anti-vampire garlic creations, brooms, wands, familiars and .. ordinary medicine.
Original build was the Apothecary + Apartment lot by Paillette87. I gutted the interior but the exterior and architecture is still mostly her original design. https://64.media.tumblr.com/d04a4c92cf007613bf5d61a568a198de/c3309599c79e7c4a-99/s2048x3072/c241a783f7ecb94ba10ca6bfc102bc6366249da8.jpg
I had to mod to make the potions from RoM have a decent sell value, they are super, super cheap by default because the game doesn't actually give them any value at all. I made my own mod to do it, but there's another one out there. I just made my own because even that one had values way too low (imo) for things like the immortality potion.

@Stormkeep Wow. That's awesome. This is what I have been trying to build as my first shop and failing terribly. A little magic shop with crystals and magical items and potions. I love your store!
