Rocks won’t spawn

I am trying to complete the fossil collection but I am having difficulty finding any rock ! It looks like my game stops spawning rocks somehow. Any idea how to fix it ?? Thanks.

Are you in Sulani? I feel as if Sulani has a surprising lack of rocks.
