Maleficient was also an evil fairy in Sleeping Beauty. I guess they just don't make films about the evil fairies, lol.
Yeah, when she got her own movies she wasnt even evil anymore ? That is the Disney way, it seems like. I dont harp on it too much since some people like how she was portrayed in those movies, but i have to agree with some here that i prefer the darker portrayal of fairies myself, as it is more interesting. It seems to be gaining popularity in recent fantasy novels too!
