I don't have any particular wants for a Romance pack, but I can say one thing I hope it doesn't do - define things as specifically Not Romantic unless your sim has certain traits.
What I mean is, if I want to take a couple who don't have the Geek Trait on a date to GeekCon, I don't want to now be fighting with the AI for them to do romantic interactions because GeekCon isn't traditionally romantic and I prioritized other traits over Geek when creating the Sim(s). Or the Flea Market, which doesn't have any traits I can think of that would work. I want to continue to be able to have Spooky themed weddings, where the bride wears Black without having the Gloomy trait. (Perky Goths exist.)
Now, I wouldn't mind if a given individual sim's definition of Romantic or Not Romantic were tied to traits - or better still, likes and dislikes - but I don't want the game to suddenly go "Sims will actively find GeekCon to be a bad place for Romantic Actions unless the have they Geek Trait" or "Sims will react badly to the Bride wearing Black unless they have the Gloomy Trait"
I'd like to say that I don't think the team would do that, but there are still times when I get those Teaching Moments in Parenthood where nothing fits what would be the "right" answer for my Sim (or even what I think should be the "right" answer) so there is precedent for a game pack defining something more narrowly than I'd like.
