[RoM]is there a way to use Rite of Dissolution on townies or is it playable sim only?

with how random townies becoming spellcasters why cant we strip them of their spellcaster status like we can vampires? i'v got a mod now to stop the game adding sims with homes as random spell casters...

The only way is to play as them and ask the Sages to take their powers. We can't use rite of dissolution as far as I know, but only Sages.
Though I'm using Mccc here, with "mc control" part I make the sim interact with the sage and make them ask for rite of dissolution.
Edit: I typed ascension instead of dissolution ?‍♀️ sorry!
