When placing the bed or anything around the bed did you use the move objects cheat? If you haven't, something I have also noticed, and I really don't know why but it has also started very recently is when I try to direct my sim(s) to do something, and if they are not right at that location they will act like they can't get to it, even though there is not anything blocking their route.
Have one of your sims that you do control, see if this might be the case by trying to have them use the bed that you keep having issues with.
