Sounds like it's only the active household that is affected. Would be worse if it was those not played.
I don't have GF yet, but maybe the warning is like the warning "NN is freezing to death". Originally I thought my sim was dieing, but it turned out there is plenty of time to avoid the tragedy. Does anyone know how long the famous sim has to fix the fame status? If it's enough to post a selfie, I'd say it's not a big deal.
