That's what has happened in my game and I believe I saw one other person say the same happened to them. (Just wanted to clarify, when you are not actively on that sim/family, they won't be getting any royalties at that time regardless. You have to be active on that lot at 10am for them to get a royalty. And after a few days away from them consecutively, the payments stopped altogether. All you have to do is switch to that sim/family house once a day or every few days around 9am and let the royalties come in at 10am, then switch back to your other family).
