I think @TheSimer is right but they built it in the corner.. probably to get better pictures. That brick building in the back is the same.
I have wondered though in the future if they would utilize some empty spaces. There's that really bare area in Newcrest the area with the kids monkey bars and grills that could use something. Of course I wouldn't have as much room for homeless camping or portable dj parties if they did. Guess it's all a wait and see.
