Hey I think I figured out something cool about the ice rink coming in the Seasons EP! One of my favorite houses to play is the Park Shore house, the green Victorian next door to the Goth's house. When I very first saw the trailer for Seasons I thought the background for the ice rink looked very familiar, particularly the little red boat. Well it turns out, I was right and so my theory is this, I think that little park next door to the Park Shore house does a "dynamic street change" just like the common areas of San Myshuno do for the festivals to become an ice rink in the winter! That's really interesting! So some areas around the neighborhoods may change with the current season... :open_mouth: It reminds me when TS3 Seasons came out, it came with festival lot version of an existing lot in each of the past worlds, so this time around the seasonal activities may be right next to our Sims' house. That's pretty nice. :)Kinda wish we could edit communal areas between seasons now though...

The ice rink picture is from Newcrest. The building in the background doesn't appear in Pendula View.

I think the scale of the areas looks off - I don't think the rink/surroundings would fit in the park - but there also some key differences:1) There's a building in the back of the first picture that isn't in the second picture2) The public bathroom in the second picture isn't visible in the first one3) The trees and streetlights are different in picture one vs picture twoI could be wrong about the scale but I don't think it makes any sense for a public bathroom and trees and fences to change between seasons. I don't think this is the same area, just the same decor boat in the background.

It would be interesting if they added a feature that lets the player build up to four different lot versions that can be set up to transition throughout the seasons, kind of like CAS outfit categories but for lots. It would make it a lot easier for houses so you wouldn't have to redecorate every time a new season comes around, also maybe for restaurants so you can set up a seasonal menu if you so wish.

I wonder about the food stalls actually. They seem new & they're open. Currently, when placing food stalls in parks, they don't actually work, right? It'd be really cool if they could update that & make sure food stalls in public lots (parks, museums, anything that isn't residential basically) always work. Cause that's kind of a pet peeve of mine that they don't :D It'd be weird making an ice skating rink & then having to hire caterers each time you visit the lot. This picture seems to at least indicate that they're working on public lots given there's no new world. So I'd love it if either they updated this (unless I missed something?) OR if they do indeed give us dynamically changing parks/public places in already existing worlds. Not sure about that though, as it could mean we'd no longer be able to edit them ourselves (ref. San Myshuno).

That would be cool @Omri147 , I just love the scenery in this game and have spent a lot of time admiring it. So I turned it over in my mind for a few days and it makes sense, and it kind of adds to realism as lots of parks irl but and small change things over to provide year round activities. Plus since we aren't getting a world it saves space.

Is it? Because one thing I couldn't reconcile is the tall grey house in the background, as it doesn't exist in the background in Willow Creek.

I agree. It would be pretty cool! It actually kind of makes sense too. I was wondering why I'd want vendor stands when I'd have to hire a vendor. (Unless they changed that already?) This would work well.
