I used to let the toddlers’ needs dictate their schedule. You could say they trained me wrong. Because in Sims 2, for example, the toddler went to bed whenever they were tired, and when they woke up they’d wail until someone let them out of their cribs (I can still hear it in my head, can you?) There was no schedule. I was at their beck and call at any time. They were always up all night.
Only recently have I given my toddlers a nap during the day and put to bed just before the children would. No strict times, but the toddlers will keep sleeping through the night after their energy is full, unless they need the potty or something. It’s nice, I definitely prefer playing with these toddlers. Are they a little too self-sufficient? Maybe, but they still get plenty of attention (in a locked nursery).
