In fact I edit the homosexual families with custom genders so still be male-male and female-female but so one be impregnator and other can be pregnant
(Edit: Yes, I know, I have a disproportionately large number of lesbian couples lol, but as a lesbian, I find I enjoy making and playing lesbian couples, and since you can play the sims however you want, I just run with it. So really, just play your game how it makes you happy :))

Ah, that makes sense, I misunderstood your initial post. It is a nice option to have sims be able to impregnate other sims without changing anything else about their gender, Sims 4 does that better than it's predecessors for sure! I remember going into CAS full edit mode in the Sims 3 and briefly changing the gender of one of my lesbian sims so they could woohoo for a baby and actually conceive lol, then I would change them right back to female. I use MCCC a lot now to give my lesbian couples kids just by starting a pregnancy for one of them and using the other female as the seed sim.
