I love the nice views from some of the starter homes and the events it has to offer, but you’re in a real horrible situation if your sim is just starting off. I moved into Penny...I don’t remember her last name but I moved into her apartment building and every single night she’d wake my sim up with her romantic rendezvous. In the mornings there’d be rats and roaches and water leaks. I even tried the Culpepper apartments where a sim lives with his mom and it’s only us in the 4 apartment building but yet his mother would manage to wake us up with her romantic nights. I had since had enough and moved to Oasis Springs in the cheapest home I could afford. I can only stand apartments for so long :s why did all starter apartments have to have a problem, the only decent one was the one with plaque of the person who used to live there but then the neighbors were the problem

I wouldn't want it to be any other way; that's half the reason I'd ever choose to start in SM.

I wouldn’t mind if it didn’t happen every single day, my sims have to advance in their careers and they cant when their in bad moods. Then there’s a bug that has sims from outside randomly barge into your apartment like it’s their home and you can’t kick them out because they’re not technically invited in.

Totally agree, not to mention its the buggiest and laggiest world ever..sadly I'm currently playing my first newly save there for my story but I'm thinking of moving..

Sounds like realistic apartment living, tbh, especially for cheap apartments. I'd actually like to see similar problems in some of cheapest of cheap housing. Or maybe you could add problems like that and the base price would drop.

I do not even play in SM because I hate the fact I can't build apts from scratch let alone not in any other neighborhood.

I can't play in that world anymore, LOL. When I did, I had my sim sleep in the daytime and stay up all night clubbing.

Think she has the apartment with the noisy neighbors with the party one, so not surprised haha. Though, I love CL because of things like that happening. Since my sim won't be comfortable 24/7 everyday. Waking up in the middle of the night because of neighbors either being romantic, having a party or having an argument with another. Going to their door to bang on it cause they're irritated and sometimes the neighbors will usually waved them off. Same with Sims 2 when you'd have noisy neighbors and could bang on the wall.

Tend to keep doors locked with my sims anyway to prevent sims from wandering into their place.

Are you serious? Does it really happen in the nicer apartments or not as much. I want to move my sims back to SM once they could afford a nicer apartment.
I wish I could have my sims sleep during the day but they work during that time.

You can move the neighbors out. Nothing you can do about the lot traits that cause the rats and bugs and such on some of the apartments though unless there is a mod to remove them.
